Who am I as a professional web designer, interaction designer and graphic designer?
I graduated from the University of Dayton with a BFA in Visual Communication Design and a minor in Photography. Throughout my career, I've strived to combine my skills in Print Design, Web Design and Photography into a unique approach to design solutions that are not only elegant but functional.
My award-winning designs are backed by expertise in HTML, CSS and the discipline of Information Architecture, as well as knowledge of other facets of the web development field such as Flash, ASP and JavaScript. I focus on all aspects of the user experience, whether I'm developing wireframes, application interfaces, intranet sites or public websites.
During my 5-year career as a web designer and developer, I've worked in several very different environments: a small start-up web shop, an international interactive agency, and an internal group within a major Fortune 500 corporation. These companies, and the colleagues I've been fortunate enough to meet along the way, have greatly impacted my work and have facilitated my growth as a designer.
Who am I as a person living in Chicago?
When I'm not at my computer or behind my camera, I love to cook, watch movies or travel—usually on quick road trips, but sometimes I get a bit further away. During the non-winter months, you'll find my fiancé and myself tearing up the roads on our bikes. It makes for some lovely tan lines.
